First produced in 1963 and sourced from historic Pokolbin fruit parcels, a mature Semillon aged under the Tyrrells cellar. From the distinguished Stevens family Old Hillside property at Pokolbin. The site, established 1867, may contain the oldest productive vines in Hunter Valley. Vintage is one of the earliest and shortest in Australia, yields are very low and there is an inexplicable affinity between the terroir and style of Shiraz which has brought Hunter Valley so much international renown. The small, dehydrated, ultra ripe berries, characterized by lifted levels of natural fruit sugar and toughened skins, are little treasure chests of graceful flavours and light but luscious tanins.

Sourced from Neil Steven's Glenoak property at Pokolbin, a scenically undulating site that's planted to a combination of light sand and red clay soils, widely regarded as one of the finest white wine vineyards in Hunter Valley. The oldest block was established circa 1911, the youngest plantings date back to 1965. Since inaugural vintage, Stevens Semillon has been awarded a breathtaking list of national and international accolades, countless wine show medals and a conspicuous tally of significant trophies.

Fashioned from a collation of the finest parcels Hunter Valley Pinot Chardonnay, crafted to true Methode Traditionelle and vintaged under the Tyrrell cellars, a fuller, richer style of sparkler that only the auspicious Tyrrell vineyards can produce.

Verdelho wines are extremely food friendly and are fast becoming a popular choice around the Australian dining table. Old Winery makes Verdelho into a highly approachable style, maintaining the commitment of consistently producing wines which deliver on quality and value. A pure Hunter Valley wine in the enduring traditions of the Tyrrell name, layered with lemon and stone fruit flavours, made piquant by a touch of nut and spice complexity, finishing just a touch savoury and pleasingly dry.

Semillon has always been the great white varietal of Hunter Valley, as the soils and climate of the region produce a style of wine which is unique to the world. Tyrrell's believe that Hunter Semillon should always be made without oak, to permit the citrus fruit flavours to stand out and allow the wine to develop complexity. An attractive, early drinking style with a clean refreshing palate.

Tyrrell's Old Winery range is named after the historic wineworks at Hunter Valley, built in 1858. Rose as a wine style has had many incarnations over the last century, from light, dry and savoury to rich, fruity and sweet. Old Winery is vinified to an old Rose technique that Tyrrell's employed in the 1960s, incorporating traditional skin contact methods from parcels of Hunter Valley fruit. The flavours develop early in the process at lower sugar and stronger acid levels. The aim is to achieve a balanced pink wine, fashioned for the everyday Australian lifestyle.

Tyrrell's Old Winery range is named after an historic Hunter Valley facility which was built in 1858. Tyrrell are famous for the pioneering of Chardonnay in Australia, being the first to commercially produce the varietal as a pure wine in 1971, the inaugural release of Australian Chardonnay. Tyrrell's were also one of the first to import small French oak barrels into Australia for the style. Old Winery continues Tyrrell's tradition of consistently producing the finest Chardonnay, wines which over deliver in terms of generosity and charm.

The heritage of Tyrrell is inextricably linked to the history of wine in Australia, it's the story of pioneers, men and women who transformed the Hunter Valley, planted grapes and looked for better ways to make wine. Lost Block was named after the 1993 vintage when it was mistakenly allowed to ripen for a longer period than usual, you could say that Tyrrell lost the plot, the quality of wine made from the harvest however was amazing. A seamlessly balanced wine of soft Semillon fruit characters before a clean, crisp finish.

Ever since a mythological deluge in 1993, the Tyrrell winemaking team has embarked on an argosy to detect and apprehend the illusory Lost Block. Stylistically fashioned to remain true to the promise of fruit laden, easy to drink wines, Chardonnay from the Hunter Valley and McLaren Vale have been harvested, crushed and chilled, before a hasty transfer to the Tyrrell wineworks at Pokolbin, for vinification into a fresh and crisp, revitalising wine.

Hunter Valley Distillery is a continuation of the same dry creek bed as the Short Flat Vineyard that produces Vat 1 Semillon. HVD is a proven Semillon vineyard, which consistently yields parcels of fruit that reach the very high standards that are demanded for inclusion in the exalted Vat 1. In 1995, the winemakers decided to keep the HVD Semillon by itself as a separate reserve wine and it went on to become one of the most talked about releases of the last decade. HVD Semillon is rapidly gaining a solid repute as one of Australia's great white wines.

Fashioned to capture the excellence and refinement of the classic Hunter Valley Shiraz style, named after Brokenback Mountain Range with which Hunter Valley shares a terroir of auspicious deep red volcanic soils. Tyrrell's source fruit from superior, dry grown, low yielding vineyards which have consistently produced the finest vintages. Hunter Valley makes a Shiraz as distinctive and unique as the renowned appellations of the old world, structured and aromatic, endowed with enticing fruit and lined with elegant tannins.

Belford Vineyard paradoxically produces the bigger yet softer of all Tyrrell's premium Semillon wines. Belford is the Hunter Valley archetype, showing a tightly structured palate with considerable length and breadth of citrus honey flavours. Unequivocally a sublime drink with a fully engaging nose and palate, already displaying toasty bottle aged complexity. Since 1982, Belford has claimed an extraordinary list of significant wine show trophies and copious gold medals.

Tulloch decided to add a Moscato to their cellar door range. Unfortunately the weather gods had other ideas and Muscat grapes were off the agenda. Not to be deterred, Tulloch set about to make a style of wine in the same vein as Moscato from Verdelho. Verscato is Tulloch's slightly pink and slightly sparkling take on the more traditional Moscato style. Verscato is less than 8% alcohol, the perfect accompaniment for brunch, and positively lovely as an aperitif or dessert wine. Versatile and pretty, what more could you ask for?.

One of Hunter Valley's great winemaking estates, home to the nation's best known Verdelho. Originating from Portugal, traditionally used to make fortified wines such as Madeira, Verdelho has always enjoyed popularity in Australia, the Hunter Valley examples in particular are a class of their own. Tulloch sources the best grapes from good vineyards on the fertile river plains of Upper Hunter, to be assembled alongside smaller parcels from the Tulloch property at Pokolbin. A course of barrel ferments and oak treatments add a measure of richness and complexity.

Two of Australia's most notable winemakers have cut parcels of Hunter Valley Semillon with an equal portion of Sauvignon Blanc grown to the high altitudes of Central Ranges. The idea behind See Saw was the brainchild of Angus the Bull winemaker Hamish MacGowan, who is building a reputation for his intriguing, successful marketing concepts. His skill at crafting wines is pretty up there too.

From vines planted to one of the Hunter Valley's most splendid Terra rosa sites. The deep friable red loam soils over soft limestone yield generously flavoured grapes with unique flavour profiles. A full bodied Chardonnay in Burgundian styling, with staves of lovely oak and golden toasty autolysis. Scarborough never lets up, it knows what we want to smell and like to taste, it truly delivers. Hunter Valley Chardonnay at its best, superb alongside lobster and drawn butter, hollandaise, asparagus and garlic mayo.

Scarborough are exclusively Hunter Valley, adhering to a philosophy of regionally pure wines, always in the pursuit of an immaculate expression through provenance and terroir. It is the uniqueness of its DNA thumbprint that ultimately places Hunter Shiraz into a genre of its very own. Satisfyingly medium bodied, elegantly complex, its lithe, savoury tannins and earthy, bucolic fruit, finely chiselled portraiture and seamless structure are the very definition of new world Shiraz, in the timeless and enduring Hunter Valley way.

Vermentino hails from Sardinia but can be found growing in vineyards throughout the Mediterranean. A natural for the warmer climes and auspicious terroirs of Hunter Valley, Scarborough introduce their harvest to a long cool ferment, batches are plunged over periodically to infuse the palate while introducing a measure of creaminess and texture. Unoaked and without artifice, rejuvenatingly pastoral and fresh, conjuring honeysuckle, orange blossoms and lemon curd, its long crisp finish resolves on a lingering impression of grapefruits and quince.

The blessed soils and benign climes of Valley Hunter make a hospitable home for refreshing white styles that are essentially fruit driven and friendly to food. Scarborough take an all natural approach, encouraging their vines to yield a harvest that's self assured, articulate of Verdelho, so good that the wine simply makes itself. Crafted without too much interference, fashioned for freshness, unwooded and unoaked, its zesty, granny smith palate makes a mesmerising meal alongside singaporean recipes, cocounut curries and colourful hawker style cuisines.

From a precocious block of early picked Pinot Noir on the Scarborough estate property at Pokolbin along Wine Country Road. It takes two full days to infuse the ferments with just the right amount of petal pink, fashioned to a style that's certain to engage the palate and beguile the senses. Bright cherries, cinammon apple and red fruit nose, sasafras and rose, strawberries, stalky anise tannin, mace and a sprinkle of cupboard spice, a decidedly savoury style of blush pink wine to accompany creamy white cheese or buttered saute of sole.

Crafted from the last blocks of vine to be picked, late in the season as grapes achieve dizzying levels of super ripeness and an intensity of toothsome complexity. Scarborough are passionate about all thing Semillon, a felicitous varietal that lends itself to a marvelous diversity of styles. There’s always a place at the table for Late Picked Semillon, as aperitif or accompaniement, alongside savouries or sweet. Unashamedly textural, alluringly redolent of jonagold and jaffa, fantales and fig, a dazzling balance between natural vine ripened honeyness and juicy, fruity acidity.

Nowhere else in the world does Semillon express such sound structure and exquisite balance, varietal excellence and disarming eloquence. Scarborough embarked on their journey in viticulture from a famous site along Wine Country Drive that was one of Hunter Valley's original Semillon vineyards, a special place with a history of producing the most long lived vintages. Green Label defines the animated elegance of a fresh and articulate wine, released at around a year of age to articulate the charm and appeal of Hunter Valley Semillon in its irresistible youth.

From the sandy loam soils of upper Hunter Valley, picked just a bit earlier in the vintage for an easier drinking Chardonnay, treated to a course of oak barrel ferments, monthly lees stirring and a year's maturation. It took plenty of vision, love and attention, with a fair bit of bulldozing and persistence to make the Scarborough Gillards Road vineyard into the special patch of dirt it is today. A style that's evocative of new world Chablis, the perfect seesaw of citrus, almond, pear and mineral flint, spiced peach and deliciously creamy mouthfeel.
